Russell joined Compass in 2005, initially working as a broker's assistant for Brian Huntamer. He has been actively involved in Central Oregon real estate since 2000. Russell is native to this region, born in Bend and raised in Sisters.

As a licensed broker, CID and COAR member, Russ helps his clients pursue opportunities in commercial investments including land, investment sales, and commercial buildings. He also is active in all types of leasing.  He is has completed the extensive 4-part CCIM curriculum including investment analysis, tenant and landlord representation, and demographics. He targets Fall of 2008 for successful completion of the rigorous testing requirements to become designated as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).

His partnership with Brian Huntamer and ten year history as a Bend resident created the foundation and network responsible for his quick start as a successful Compass broker.

In his education at COCC Russell completed extensive courses in entrepreneurship, accounting, and other business practices. He is a busy father of three and, previous to joining Compass, he spent five years self-employed working in muscle therapy and injury-specific treatment.
