Howard joined Compass Commercial in April of 1998 after 25 years in the restaurant industry. He uses his business background and knowledge of the region to assist clients in leasing and sales of commercial and industrial properties including land sales, investment properties, and owner/user opportunities. 

He is a member of the Bend Chamber of Commerce, the Oregon and National Association of Realtors (OAR and NAR), and the Commercial Investment Division (CID) of the Central Oregon Association of Realtors. Howard was awarded the prestigious CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation in 2002, one of only 5% of commercial brokers nationwide.

Howard has been a Bend resident for 26 years. He and his wife, Nancy, raised their three children (who are all college grads) in Bend. In his spare time he coaches snowboarding and sits on the board of the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation. He writes for Bend Living magazine and manages to find time for some fly fishing, traveling, cooking, and rehydrating on the Oregon Coast.
