As our region continues to weather its share of woes with the real estate (and overall economic) downturn, we’re seeing more commercial space go vacant. Some is the result of new buildings coming on line, some is the result of small businesses unable to withstand retracted spending habits across all sectors. Those property owners fortunate enough to have healthy tenants are finding they have to be aware of other negotiating owners who have too much empty inventory.
