Davis is a rare 3rd Generation Bendite, who’s been working in the region ever since he delivered the Bulletin to west side neighbors. Formative years in Bend and Medford led to college at OSU where he graduated in HRTM (hotel, restaurant, and tourism management.) The subsequent 22 years have been spent marketing and managing hotels and conference facilities, including the position of General Manager for a full service 235 room Doubletree (Hilton Hotel Corp.) in Eugene/Springfield.
Before joining Compass as a full service commercial real estate broker, Mr. Smith was the Director of Sales and Marketing for Seventh Mountain Resort (formerly The Inn at Seventh Mountain). He was involved in its $20 million dollar restoration, including rebranding and refreshing the image of the popular destination resort.
Davis has also had sales responsibilities for Sunriver and Eagle Crest resorts, after returning to the Bend area from hospitality positions in Oakland and Portland. Mr Smith stays busy with his wife, 3 year old son, and 1 year old daughter doing all the things Bendites treasure — skiing, golfing, fly fishing and playing outside.
Davis is licensed to represent clients in all facets of commercial real estate transactions including building and land sales, retail and industrial lease negotiations, as well as advising on time-sensitive 1031 exchanges.
In 2007 Davis closed $10 million in sales, leasing, and
consulting in 42 transactions.
