Compass Commercial's Darren Powderly Addresses Over 600 at Real Estate Forecast Breakfast

Commercial real estate trends, indicators, and predictions for the coming year were the topic of Compass partner Darren Powderly's speech to a packed Bend Chamber breakfast club at the Riverhouse this morning.

Bend, Oregon

Bend_Oregon_commercial_real_estate_forecast.jpgPowderly covered 5 year vacancy and absorption data, as well as presenting the numbers that signaled the breathtaking run up on land prices over the last 10 years. In addition, he presented Compass's predictions for  2007 activity across the industrial, retail, and office sub markets.

His presentation included points such as: buyers will become more selective, owners will have to be more observant of cost controls, some properties will face price corrections, industrial condo sales will increase and the office market should prove very healthy. He recommended selling or developing Bend industrial land, and buying downtown Redmond properties among other points.
