Michelle joined Compass Commercial’s brokerage services team as marketing assistant in June 2010. Prior to joining Compass, Michelle spent 15 years in magazine, web and book publishing. She is an award-winning journalist and worked as an editor for trade and mainstream magazines and websites.

In addition to her work in marketing and public relations, Michelle is a certified therapeutic horseback riding instructor through North American Riding for the Handicapped, Inc., and spent five years on staff at Healing Reins, a Bend-area non-profit, where she worked with adults and children with special needs.

Michelle grew up near Washington State’s Puget Sound. She is a Washington State University honors college graduate with a degree in mass communication/print journalism and a minor in business administration. She and her husband, Seth, moved to Bend in 2004 and enjoy hiking, horseback riding, camping, snowshoeing and skiing.
