Darren challenges himself to look for better ways to maximize value, enhance efficiency and increase profits for his clients. Investment sales and leasing along with distressed investment property are his areas of expertise throughout Oregon. Darren works tirelessly to maintain his proficiency as one of Central Oregon's top producing commercial real estate agents. As a CCIM, Darren is recognized as an expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate and is in the top 6% of commercial real estate practitioners nationwide.
Darren successfully negotiated $85,000,000 of commercial real estate transactions since 2003. In June 2006, Darren was promoted to Partner at Compass. In addition to taking care of clients, Darren is the co-editor of the Points Newsletter and is responsible for the compasscommercial.com website.
Darren is very active in Central Oregon community improvement programs. He serves on the Board of the Economic Development of Central Oregon (EDCO) and various other philanthropic organizations. Darren is a 2005 graduate of the Leadership Bend program. In 2006, he was honored with the prestigious 40 Under 40 award for outstanding achievements in business and charitable giving.
Darren started his first official business at the age of 19 in Boulder, CO. After earning his BS in Business from the University of Colorado, Darren worked with an international software company in downtown San Francisco where he was quickly promoted and eventually managed a team of 17 sales people. In this executive position, Darren negotiated multi-million dollar deals with companies ranging from VC-funded startups to Fortune 100 corporations. Prior to moving to Bend, Darren and his wife Michael spent seven months circumnavigating the globe. These days, Darren and Michael enjoy riding Mt. Bachelor, mountain biking, camping, fly fishing, hiking, the occasional surf and most importantly playing with their three year old son Dylan and one year old daughter Dalila.
