A founding partner in Compass Commercial, Erich has been active in commercial real estate brokerage since 1985. From 2000 through 2009, Erich assisted his clients in completing sale and lease transactions totaling over $361 million in value including representing the seller in the disposition of the 114,000 square foot, six building, Mill Point Business Campus for $25 million in 2003, representing LifeWise in its build to suit lease in the Old Mill District for 55,000 square feet in 2001, and co-representing Facebook along with Studley, Inc. in the acquisition of 130 acres for a data center in Prineville in 2009.
Erich was the Top Producer for Compass Commercial Real Estate Services for seven of the last twelve years. Prior to moving to Central Oregon, Erich was with Collier's International from 1988-1993 during which time he specialized in office transactions in the South Bay Area of Los Angeles. He was with Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services (now CB Richard Ellis) in Denver for his first three years in the business. His professional activities include representing buyers and sellers of investment properties and land, assisting tenants in their relocations and renewals, and marketing lease space for building owners. Mr. Schultz has successfully completed over 700 lease transactions and 125 property sales during his career.
Erich is one of only two Central Oregon members of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). The SIOR is the leading professional commercial and industrial real estate association, representing today's most knowledgeable and experienced real estate industry practitioners. Society members provide essential brokerage services including consulting, negotiating, appraising, and maximizing the performance of investment portfolios. Members must meet rigid professional and ethical membership standards and demonstrate proven marketing ability and knowledge of the principles involved in the guidance and completion of real estate transactions.
Erich studied marketing and real estate while earning his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Later he attended Pepperdine University where he received a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Finance.
He is married and has two children. He loves to spend time with his family and friends traveling, mountain biking, and snowboarding.
