Kegs Full of Gratitude!

IMG_8954
We’re so grateful for the opportunity to work with the fine folks at Humm Kombucha!

You may recall we announced last month that Humm Kombucha leased a 31,382 sq. ft. industrial building located at 20720 Brinson Blvd. to serve as their new warehouse facility here in Bend. The company is coverting the space to brew kombucha at three times the capacity of its facility on 2nd Street.

While the tap room on NE Second Street will remain open, we’re feeling a little spoiled over here at Compass Commercial. Brokers Ron Ross, Terry O’Neil and Pat Kesgard received a sweet fermented surprise this week in the form of a personal Humm Kombucha keg (thankfully, they were willing to share with our office).

Our own keg of Humm Kombucha!

We are so grateful to have assisted this rapidly expanding company throughout their journey to success. While the decision to stay in Bend may have been a tough call for logistical reasons, (they looked at California for a new brewery site initially), the company’s gracious founders recognized the community that helped launch their success and stayed firmly planted in Central Oregon.

As the Bulletin reported last month, Bend city staff worked with Humm Kombucha to help them expedite the permitting process, and while the perception may be that the city approval process involves a lot of red tape, Humm Kombucha CEO, Jamie Danek told the Bulletin’s Joe Ditzler that wasn’t the case in her experience.

“I think we get used to talking about what’s not going well in the world and we don’t talk enough about what goes well,” she said. “Our experience has been exceptional.”

Now, we’re the ones faced with a difficult decision:  Original Flavor or Pomegranate Lemonade?

Thank you, Humm Kombucha!
