Last week, The Shepherd’s House announced the opening of a new home and program for homeless women and children facing abuse and addiction in Central Oregon.  The new shelter, located on Bear Creek Road is the first step toward a long-term vision to accommodate as many as 40 homeless women and children at a brand new facility currently in the planning stages.

Compass Commercial partner broker Steve Toomey has been integral to establishing the program through his board commitment to The Shepherd’s House and by capitalizing on his experience as a commercial broker to secure the current facility as well as the land that will make the expanded program a reality.

Fundraising efforts to support The Shepherd’s House campaign to serve homeless men, women and children are currently underway. The program is seeking community support to help realize the vision for a new expanded residential care program to address the issues controlling the lives of women and their children that lead to homelessness in our community.
