Bend Launches UGB Survey

UGB Scenarios
(Source: The Bulletin 9.24.15)

The City of Bend is seeking public input on three growth boundary scenarios through its new online survey.

Each of the three proposed scenarios, developed by the city staff and community appointed advisory committees presents different boundaries intended to accommodate 20 years’ worth of growth.

The scenario maps show the different parcels of land that could be brought into the city limits and illustrates the zoning attributes intended for each new piece of land.  Each scenario places different degrees of emphasis on growth for residential and commercial uses.  The City Council and advisory committee will use the survey results to guide them in their final planning.

The city will host a community meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Bend Park & Recreation District building, 799 SW Columbia St. At the meeting, city staff will discuss the three expansion plans and answer questions about the urban growth boundary. Children are welcome to attend.
