BEND, OR– Compass Commercial Real Estate Services, Central Oregon’s leading commercial real estate brokerage is pleased to announce Joshua Rutter has joined the firm’s asset and property management division as regional property manager.
Rutter’s commercial real estate experience includes over fifteen years managing assets throughout the Pacific Northwest and Southern California. Most recently, he was a commercial property manager with NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson in Portland, Oregon where he managed a combined total of 15 property ownerships consisting of Class A retail, office and flex-office/industrial properties on behalf of clients in the Portland, Vancouver and Bend markets.
Prior to that, Rutter spent eight years as an asset manager and general manager at SIMA Management Corporation in Santa Barbara, California. Through SIMA, he was subsequently promoted to general manager of the Mountain View Mall, located in Bend, Oregon, encompassing over 350,000 square feet of space. Locally, Rutter has been involved in the management of 360 Bond Street in Bend and leading the re-development of the 34-acre Cascade Village Shopping Center from an enclosed mall to an outdoor lifestyle shopping center.

Josh holds a Principal Broker license in the State of Oregon and the State of Washington. He is also a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and is in the final stages of attaining his Certified Property Manager (CPM©) designation.
Rutter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and managementfromtheLundquistCollegeofBusiness,University of Oregon.
