Compass Commercial Represents Kombucha Mama in Lease Expansion

BEND, OR – Compass Commercial Real Estate Services represented Kombucha Mama, Bend’s very own local brewer of Kombucha Tea, in the lease of a 5,000 square foot free standing building located at 1125 NE 2nd Street (formerly the Design Lighting Building).

“This is a very significant expansion for Kombucha Mama which will allow them to drastically increase production to meet exploding demand for their product,” said Ron Ross, CCIM with Compass Commercial, who represented Kombucha Mama in the negotiation.

Kombucha Mama founders, Michelle Plantenberg and Jamie Danek launched the business locally in 2009 and have since expanded to distribute the rapidly growing health beverage brand to a broader market throughout the state. The company currently employs six people and distributes its distinctive fermented tea product throughout Central Oregon, Eugene and Corvallis.

“We were looking to expand into a space that offered 5,000 square feet, lots of natural light and included retail space to be able to grow that portion of our business,” said Danek. “This new space will allow us to increase our production and distribute our product throughout all of Oregon including Portland, Ashland, Salem and Medford.”

The company is relocating from its current space on NE 1st Street in Bend.

Bruce Kemp, CCIM and Robert Raimondi also with Compass Commercial represented the landlord, Dennis Thompson in the lease.
