Malia takes pride in balancing professionalism with the Aloha spirit, bringing a warm and welcoming approach to her role as Property Manager at Compass Commercial. She works closely with the property management team to support the smooth operation of a diverse portfolio of commercial properties.
Her responsibilities include processing invoices, communicating with tenants, managing timely rent collection, coordinating maintenance work orders, and conducting routine property inspections to ensure assets remain in excellent condition. Malia is especially passionate about building positive tenant relationships and resolving issues efficiently and thoughtfully.
Prior to joining Compass Commercial, Malia spent three years in residential property management, overseeing high-end second homes. She also worked in the nonprofit sector with the Opportunity Foundation of Central Oregon, leading quality assurance initiatives and supporting housing programs for adults with developmental disabilities. Her career began in retail management, where she spent nearly a decade developing strong leadership, operations, and customer service expertise.
In addition to her property management background, Malia is certified in nutrition and wellness consulting. Originally from Oahu, Hawaii, she moved to the mainland in 2012 and relocated to Central Oregon in 2019. Inspired by the opportunity to work for a respected local firm, she found a strong professional home with Compass Commercial.
