Compass Commercial Construction led the ground-up construction of Diamondline Delivery Systems, Inc.’s new industrial facility in Redmond, OR. This 7,000 square foot building serves as a key transfer hub for the trucking company, featuring a combination of warehouse and office space, and was completed in an 8-month timeline.
Key Project Highlights
- The building totals approximately ±7,000 square feet, including ±5,200 square feet of warehouse transfer space and ±1,800 square feet of office space
- The facility features steel siding and roofing with a rock veneer around the office section
- The building includes 19 overhead doors to support efficient trucking operations
Challenges
The project encountered significant challenges due to the site’s solid rock foundation, which complicated excavation efforts up to 3-5 feet below ground. Additionally, bringing in electrical power required tunneling under the street through rock to reach the transformer.
Solutions
Our construction team overcame these obstacles by using specialized equipment to break through the rock, ensuring the building’s foundation and electrical infrastructure were properly established. Despite the challenges, the collaboration with the owners, who had a clear vision for the facility, ensured the project stayed on track and was completed within the planned timeline.
