Challenge & Solution
Compass Commercial was engaged to facilitate the relocation of a highly successful Kombucha manufacturer, operating out of a 5,000 sq. ft. brewery and tap room, to accommodate the company’s rapid growth.
Once a suitable location was found, the deal structure proved to be highly complex considering the improvements and build outs required to convert this 31,382 sq. ft. former log storage warehouse with minimal infrastructure to a high capacity Kombucha manufacturing facility.
This was truly a partnership project with the landlord making a significant investment in the building adding utilities adequate for brewing, docks and contributing to Humm’s construction costs which included adding a second floor. Humm Kombucha now operates out of this state-of-the-art facility of over 40,000 sq. ft. on a long-term lease, assuring that they will have a home base for many years to come with room to grow and the landlord has a fully operational investment.
