Malia takes pride in balancing professionalism with the Aloha spirit, offering a warm and welcoming approach in her role as an Assistant Property Manager at Compass Commercial. She works closely with the property management team to ensure the smooth operation of a diverse portfolio of managed commercial properties. Her responsibilities include processing invoices, communicating with tenants, sending out rent reminders, overseeing the completion of maintenance work orders, and conducting routine property walks to ensure the properties remain in excellent condition. Malia enjoys helping tenants resolve any issues that arise.
Before joining Compass Commercial, Malia worked in residential property management for three years managing client’s high-end second homes. She also worked in the nonprofit profit sector for the Opportunity Foundation in Redmond where she ran quality assurance and focused on providing housing for adults with developmental disabilities. Malia’s career began in retail management, where she worked for nearly a decade, honing her leadership and customer service skills.
In addition to her property management experience, Malia is certified in nutrition and wellness consulting. Originally from Oahu, HI, Malia moved to the mainland in 2012 and then relocated to Central Oregon in 2019.
