As a Communications Specialist, Sophie plays a pivotal role in shaping and sharing the company’s narrative in the dynamic world of commercial real estate. She works closely with brokers, property managers, the construction team, and the Marketing Director to maintain and grow the company’s brand. Her prior experience as a Transaction Coordinator with a commercial real estate firm gives her valuable insight into what brokers, clients, and investors look for in their marketing and PR materials. At Compass Commercial, Sophie oversees content creation for all social media accounts, press releases, website pages, and email marketing campaigns. She also creates the Compass Points Quarterly Market Report that many within the industry and living in Central Oregon read to gain insight into trends in the market. Sophie is also the main point of contact for our Compass Cares nonprofits, and is assisting in planning the Annual Compass Appreciation Party. Sophie was born in Portland and grew up in Hood River. She understands the importance of longstanding community that Oregon towns possess, while also knowing that managed growth is pivotal to a town’s success and evolution. Moving to Denver in 2017, she worked at a construction supply company and helped revamp their website and online store while managing their social media. Sophie went on to work for three and a half years at a commercial real estate company in Denver as their land team’s transaction coordinator. Her experience in commercial real estate allows her to effectively communicate the needs of the brokers and other Compass Commercial employees. With the Pacific Northwest always on her mind, Sophie made plans to move back to Oregon and remembered loving spending time in Sisters and Bend when she was younger. Since moving here in September, she can’t see herself anyplace else. Sophie is new to the community, however has already attended Bend Chamber’s Emerging Talent events and has volunteered with Street Dog Hero. She looks forward to further immersing herself in the Central Oregon community, and plans to help volunteer with our Compass Cares nonprofits. In her free time she loves skiing, hiking, fly fishing, and camping – almost always with her fiancé Pete and dog Marlow in tow. She also has been exploring Bend with new friends and loves finding live music around town. Overview
