Howard is a partner and former president of Compass Commercial. He currently serves as the Principal Broker for the firm and is responsible for working with company shareholders in all aspects of business development and strategy. As a broker, Howard enjoys helping his closely-held client relationships, family businesses and a broad range of investors to navigate complex commercial real estate negotiations and advises his clients on how to maximize the value of their properties.
Background & Experience
Howard’s experience includes more than 25 years of business ownership including restaurant business management. This affords clients a seasoned perspective on the retail and restaurant industry. He uses his business background and knowledge of the region to assist clients in the leasing and sales of retail, commercial and industrial properties, including land sales, investment properties and owner/user opportunities. Since joining Compass Commercial, Howard has sold and leased over $166,000,000 worth of properties.
Howard has lived in Bend since 1981. He and his wife, Nancy raised their three children (who are all college graduates) in Bend. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, fly fishing, traveling, cooking and re-hydrating on the Oregon coast, as well as visiting his three grandchildren in Arizona.
