Owner/User to Open Ace Hardware & Paint Store
BEND, ORE – Compass Commercial Real Estate Services represented the seller of a 7,000 square foot retail building situated on a .55 acre lot at 61367 South Highway 97 in Mt. Bachelor Plaza at the corner of Powers Road. The transaction was valued at $640,000.
Erich Schultz, SIOR and Steve Toomey, CCIM with Compass Commercial represented the seller, RN Kehrer Family Trust in the investment sale of the property to 60/40 Properties, LLC. The buyer, Bob Mitchell is the owner of Mitchell Hardware, Inc., a franchise member of the worldwide Ace Hardware family. Mitchell plans to open Bend’s third Ace Hardware & Paint location in the space.
“The property on South Business Highway 97 met Mr. Mitchell’s requirements with its ample square footage, parking, existing retail build-out and south Bend location,” said Schultz. “Southeast and Southwest Bend residents can soon experience the same level of service and merchandise they previously had to travel to Ace stores at Northeast 3rd Street or Northwest Newport Avenue to enjoy.”
“We look forward to expanding our regional footprint in South Bend,” added Mitchell, who also owns Ace Hardware store locations in Burien, Tacoma and Spokane, Washington.
The Mt. Bachelor Plaza retail space was initially occupied by Corral West Ranchwear and then by Best Friends Pet Supply.
