Compass Commercial Real Estate Services brokers Luke Ross, Terry O’Neil, CCIM and Ron Ross represented BasX Solutions, the industry leader in high-efficiency data center cooling solutions and HVAC system manufacturing, in leasing a 72,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at 601 E Antler Avenue in Redmond. The closure of this deal is one of Compass Commercial’s largest lease transactions since 2020. The lease marks another milestone in BasX’s rapid growth as this new facility will function as additional warehouse and manufacturing space to their existing building along Highway 97 in Redmond.
“Securing the right space for BasX was an extensive endeavor that spanned over a year,” broker Luke Ross stated. “As they expanded and their requirements evolved, our expertise was crucial in securing the right space for them.”
BasX is currently expanding into the new facility on Antler Avenue to begin production in the coming months. This lease is BasX’s third expansion since it opened its main location at 3500 SW 21st Place in Redmond in 2014. In July 2020, the company expanded this facility by 75,000 square feet, increasing its workshop to a 200,000-square-foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. They recently broke ground in August 2023 on an additional 36,000-square-foot welding shop on the north end of their Redmond campus, with an expected operational date in 2024. This rapid growth has prompted a 55% increase in employees from 340 in 2022 to 528 in 2023, landing them in the top ten of Central Oregon’s Largest Employers List.
In December 2021, AAON, a leader in the production of premium quality, high-energy efficient HVAC products for commercial buildings, acquired BasX. The acquisition provided a worldwide reach for BasX with the ability to serve a diverse spectrum of clientele, including standard commercial businesses, government agencies, airports, educational facilities, healthcare and more. With its recent addition of the Antler Avenue location, BasX is well-equipped to meet the growing demands of its clients.
