Compass Commercial Real Estate Services’ partner and principal broker Jay Lyons, CCIM recently received the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) designation. Jay has been with Compass Commercial since 2011. During that time, he has been taking every opportunity to learn and grow in his brokerage skills. He has had his CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation since 2011.
The SIOR designation shows a broker is a proven specialist in industrial and office real estate. The broker who holds this designation is a professional with an average of more than 30 transactions each year. He or she has also met certain production, education and ethical requirements set by the Society on a continuing basis. In addition, there are mandatory courses to be completed for the education requirement, as well as a final exam.
Jay Lyons is one of only three brokers in Central Oregon to have earned the SIOR designation. The other two are Erich Schultz and Gardner Williams, both of Compass Commercial.
