Jay Lyons, SIOR, CCIM has been newly appointed to the Bend Chamber of Commerce board of directors. The announcement was made in Cascade Business News and during the general business meeting at the beginning of the Bend Chamber Holiday Party at Miller Lumber on December 6th.
Jay’s involvement with the Chamber has grown over time. Beginning with Young Professional events and Leadership Bend’s class of 2013, and then more recently he participated on the panel for the Real Estate Forecast event two years in a row.
When asked about what he appreciates about the Bend Chamber, he said, “I appreciate how the Chamber does everything it can to support our community and the businesses located here. Bend is a small, but rapidly growing town full of a wide variety of businesses. That growth presents opportunity but also challenges. I believe the Chamber has done an excellent job promoting an environment that helps businesses thrive while protecting all the characteristics of what makes Bend special.”
