Compass Commercial attends Cork & Barrel event

The Cork & Barrel events every July draw crowds of Central Oregon community members. This three day fundraiser supports the KIDS Center, located in Bend, and serving the region to provide medical modal child abuse intervention services and preventative care for child abuse through training and family support. This year was the fifth year this trio of events have taken place, raising a portion of the annual revenue for the local nonprofit through ticket sales, sponsorships, auctions and donations.

The three events begin on Thursday evening with the Winemaker Dinners, taking place at a variety of locations. Each venue is limited to 40 people for an intimate feel and includes meeting the winemakers and chef presentations. Friday evening is A Sip of Cork & Barrel with the tag line Sip. Savor. Explore. Guests enjoy food and wine parings, a passport experience, along with a super silent auction. Saturday’s event is the Grand Cru Dinner with a sit down gourmet dinner, wines from the Pacific Northwest, a live auction, a silent auction and an after party.

At this year’s events, a nearly $500,000 was raised. Compass Commercial brokers sponsored a table for brokers and guests at the Grand Cru Dinner. More than $20,000 was raised between the 12 guests in the Compass Commercial party. Our brokers and their guests were happy to donate to the KIDS Center to support the organization and the services they provide the community.
