Congratulations to Ellisse Dickey with Compass Commercial Real Estate Services for being a recipient of the 2020 Accomplished Under 40 Award, presented by Cascade Business News. The Accomplished Under 40 Awards recognizes young professionals who have made an impact on their careers and in their communities.
As someone who was born and raised in Central Oregon, Ellisse knows how important it is to give back to the community. She is actively involved at Redmond Community Church as a worship leader and graphic designer. Ellisse also volunteers as a 4-H club leader teaching youth to knit, crochet and develop leadership skills. When COVID-19 hit and things began to slow down, Ellisse restarted her side graphic design business, Designful, and filled her time creatively with local and out of state client projects.
Before starting with Compass Commercial, Ellisse attended Oregon State University where she graduated with a degree in graphic design. She sharpened her skills working various jobs from the product labeling industry to hospitality and apparel design. Ellisse’s abilities have not gone unnoticed at Compass Commercial. Over the years, her design and leadership skills have advanced her from her start as Creative Assistant in 2013 to Marketing Manager in 2020.
When things get busy in the office, Ellisse works efficiently to keep things moving, but she is also known as the purveyor of fun. In addition to planning company events and outings, Ellisse oversees the planning of the Compass Appreciation Party, which raises money for local non-profits.
As Brene Brown says, “vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity and change.” You can’t grow as a person, leader or company unless you dare to get outside of your comfort zone. As the leader of the marketing department, Ellisse pushes the company forward with creative new ideas. Her most recent initiative has been the rebranding of the Compass Commercial logo, which will be released on October 28th of this year.
