Eli Harrison Receives Prestigious Accomplished Under 40 Award

Compass Commercial Real Estate Services broker Eli Harrison was recently awarded the Cascade Business News Accomplished Under 40 award for his dedication to the Central Oregon community and advancements in his career. The accolade recognizes young professionals who excel in their careers while giving back to the community. Harrison is the 15th member of Compass Commercial to receive the honor, spotlighting his unwavering loyalty to his clients, peers and the community.

Harrison has proven himself to be a remarkable member of the Compass Commercial team, closing over $71 million in commercial transactions since joining the company in 2021. Growing up in Tumalo, OR, he has exceptional local knowledge of the area and the unique opportunities and endemic challenges to the Central Oregon commercial real estate market. Harrison’s expertise in the retail sector has enabled him to write the retail market section in multiple editions of the Compass Points Market Report.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Harrison volunteers as an environmental educator for the Sisters High School Interdisciplinary Environmental Expeditions (IEE) Program, leading groups of high school students on two-night backpacking trips in the Three Sisters wilderness, where he teaches them about local ecological systems, including glacial geomorphology and subalpine forest ecosystems. He is also a member of the Deschutes River Alliance and the Deschutes Chapter of Trout Unlimited. He received two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Economy and Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College, where he also played Division 1 basketball for three years. Before joining Compass Commercial, Harrison worked as a fly-fishing guide and went on to manage fly-fishing lodges in New Zealand, Belize, and Alaska.
