Compass Commercial Announces New Partners

Huntamer_Russell_INBEND, OR, August 12, 2016 – Compass Commercial Real Estate Services, Central Oregon’s foremost-accredited commercial real estate services firm is pleased to announce the appointment of Russell Huntamer, CCIM, Peter May, CCIM, and Jay Lyons, CCIM as new partners of the brokerage firm.

“With two decades of successful years in business behind us, we are focused on developing our team to take us into the future, and we are proud to expand our partnership to include three brokers who have demonstrated a solid commitment to their clients and our organization,” said Compass Commercial President, Pat Kesgard, CCIM.

Huntamer joined Compass Commercial in 2005 and achieved his Principal Brokers License in 2014 and Certified Commercial Investment (CCIM) designation in 2015. During his tenure at Compass Commercial, he has successfully negotiated notable leases including Jackson’s Corner, Natural Grocers, Hobby Lobby, Jimmy John’s and The Box Factory (formerly Old Mill Marketplace). Huntamer represented the sale of Mt. Washington Center in Bend for $8,750,000 and Cascade Lakes Plaza in Bend for $4,050,000 and most recently closed on the sale of Frank’s Landing in Redmond for $3,275,000.

May joined Compass Commercial in 2007 and completed his CCIM training in 2011.  During his career at Compass Commercial, he has negotiated notable tenant leases including Mosaic Medical, Bend Research, Crux Fermentation Project and St. Charles, and has increased the performance of Compass Commercial’s business sales services while developing extensive experience in the investment and retail sectors. His noteworthy business sales and brokerage clients have included the sale of East Empire Industrial Park for $5,500,000, the Steele Building at 760 NW York for $3,600,000 and the sales of Bend Brewing and Silver Moon Brewing to name a few.

May, who holds an MBA, understands the unique challenges and opportunities of the small business owner having been a founding partner in two successful companies. As partner, he will be involved in the management of company financials.

Lyons joined the company in 2011, applying his commercial mortgage banking experience to serve his commercial real estate investment clients. He earned his CCIM designation in 2011 and is working to achieve the industry’s prestigious Society of Industrial and Office Realtor ® (SIOR) designation.

Over the past five years, Lyons has represented well-known projects throughout Bend including leasing The Box Factory along with Huntamer, and Crane Shed Commons, a new 40,000 square foot office development along with leasing partner, Erich Schultz, SIOR. Lyons’ tenant clients have included Bend Memorial Clinic, ProBuild, Paladin Data Corporation and St. Charles, and noteworthy sales in Bend include Deschutes Ridge office complex for $5,155,000, the AmeriTitle building for $2,900,000 and the Microsemi building for $2,750,000.

Lyons’ expertise complements his new partnership role involving sales management. “Jay is adept at evaluating and calculating opportunities to the benefit of his clients,” said Kesgard. “His keen eye for detail and commitment to professional education represents our organizational goals for our team to continue to learn and improve to the benefit of our clients.”
